I'm Hungry (and nervous, too)!

Hi There,

It's Melissa. I sent Matt down to the hotel restaurant to get some breakfast. I can't eat anything this morning because some of the tests need to be done on an empty stomach. So, I'm sitting here wondering, who's bright idea was it to do a full day of tests on a pregnant mom and her babies without letting her have even a granola bar?

Seriously, though, the first test is the MRI, then a 2+ hour ultrasound, then a family counselor meeting, followed by genetic testing/counseling, then a 2+ ECHO cardiogram, and finally a meeting with all the doctors and surgeons. They say the tests are all day with no breaks...
but they promised at some point they'd bring me a snack box.

Thanks again for all the good wishes -- they really do help.

-M

I woke up this morning thinking about all 4 of you, and your day of tests. Those things can be very tedious and stressful...Melissa, you deserve two snack boxes!

Good job on the airline negotiations Matt! Perhaps the unions could use you in their negotiations. :-)

Your description of today is grueling. Good luck with everything. Rich and I are thinking good thoughts about you!

Take care -- Jennifer

Melissa and Matt,
We're thinking of you and sending you more good vibes today!

Although it will be a long and stressful day, know that you have many people pulling for you.

Oh, and Missy, testing was always your strong point!

Best of luck today. We love you!

Melissa, and Matt,

My mom told me yesterday that Elsa and Bea are my second cousins, once removed. I feel so lucky knowing I have two precious new family members, and I'm sending you all good vibes and positive thoughts for everything to go well in Cincinnati this week.

Let the love we're all sending you sustain you until you can get your hands on a "snack box." Be well, take care, good luck... I'm rooting for you and your little girls.

Hugs all around...

I just had a chocolate milkshake in your honor Melissa! Just think of all that Ensure drinking you will have to do to make up for those lack of calories. Grandma Nita would be proud (remember her thing about the Ensure). Anyway, we are constantly thinking of you. Sadie has been extremely chatty lately and I'm sure it's her asking about cousins Bea and Elsa. Or else she's still hung up on that ring :) Anyway, I hope your spirits stay strong. We look forward to you all coming home soon.

Missy, Matt, Elsa and Bea,

You're in our thoughts and we are sending all our good vibes and best wishes to you and the baby girls! I hope the tests go well today and that you're able to have the surgery tomorrow. You're in great care at the hospital and hopefully you can have your snacks soon too!

Missy and Matt,

I was so sad to hear the news about your girls this past weekend. Bet it broke your hearts. All 4 of you are in our thoughts and prayers all day everyday. There are more people praying for you than what you know.

Hope all your tests are going well today and that you have had something to eat by now.

You want to know why your girls were so active when you were singing to them? They were dancing just like their Mom always did.

Love the names you picked out and the reason you picked them.

Will be praying for a successful surgery tomorrow. Good Luck and take care.

Love, Curt & Betty

Dear Matt, Melissa, Bea and Elsa,

I am thinking of all the new experiences everyone is having. Sights, sounds and smells. There's nothing like the hum, roar and thumping of an MRI to make you want to dance! So Elsa and Bea, don't foot stomp too hard!
Matt, I hope you have some good reading with to pass the day.
Our thoughts are with you.
Love, MN Mom

Here we are back at my vacation home in Appleton. I didn't know what was going on yesterday when you were getting ready to leave, but luckily Mom and Dad came to check on me. Sure enough, today we all packed up and left - after we all had left over Divanni's for lunch! (Really I just had some sausage& my breakfast). By the way "snack box, did somebody say SNACK. They tell me not now - huh.

We found a great new wayside on the way home for me and them too. Of course, I have been out several times since we are here in Appleton. Must be the air here.

Well girls, this is your big brother talking - fight hard and behave. Smile for all your pictures and make Mom & Dad proud. Show 'em what you got.

I will be waiting to hear from you.

Love Bullet (Big Brother)

PS Mom & Dad say hi and good luck with everything, too!
